Strang that their App. did not set it up correctly, meaning, should not the App either altered or at least alerted user about port problems?

Is this still not working? I have been using the X2, hub, and repeater on my ASUS-Merlin AiMesh network with no problems. Sometimes when running their app on my Android phone it takes a while or another attempt to connect to the hub when my phone is connected to a different node. But it always works on a retry. Q: are your 5 MHz and 2.4Mhz SSIDs the same? Mine are different. I'm always using 5 MHz for the phone and Sofabaton stuff.

No, still having problems with the second attempt at finding X2 Hub.
Initially the App finds the X2 Hub but after setting up Devices & Activities it can't seem to find the X2 Hub again. it hangs there with the pinwheel spinning; Never finding the Hub.
It then does give the option to add a new Hub. This too does not find it.

The latest recommendations from their support is to setup phone as a Mobil Hotspot and tether another android or iPad device and run X2 App from the tethered device.
I must admit finding this pretty extreme but am considering to try latter today.

Actually am beginning to start planning on returning to Amazon and get a replacement as my Harmony Elite is rather aged.

I've even removed my Asus router and setup my AT&T Fiber modem as my Wifi with 2.4g running and App did exactly the same as when on Asus router.

I got my X2 last week, and the setup went smoothly for me.

Based on what you've tried so far, I'm beginning to suspect you got a bad unit.

First impressions: I generally like what they've done, though I'd have preferred a couple more hard buttons. And some parts just aren't as flexible as I'd like. But they are actively working on it and most of what I'm not thrilled with are software-fixable.
