Netgear XAV5001 security status

How do I verify the security mode is working?

I went through the security pairing process by holding down the security button, the LED blinking did not start until I release the button. I did the same on the other unit to make it started blinking. It turned solid green in about a minute or so.

The bridge is connected & working, but I am not certain if the security mode is on or not.

I installed the Netgear utility on my Macbook. The Security panel shows that the remote unit's password is not entered, but I don't see any indication of the security status. The main page does indicate the Network Type is private. Is that it?

TIA

You are secured. The way you could check it would be to reset one of the adapters to factory defaults. It should not be able to connect until you run the security pairing process again.
