Hi. I have a strange problem. I get a 15 second delay before the window containing files names located on my NAS Linkstation Pro disks, are displayed. The behaviour occurs under the following circumstances:
1: Double clicking the LS PRO shared folder shortcut first time every Windows session.
2: EVERY time I open a .html file located on LS PRO with Windows Explorer
3: The first preview of a file in MS Frontpage 2003 after Frontpage has started and loaded a project.
I discovered after testing that the delay is somehow related to IE7. With IE6 there is NO DELAY at all.
I tried connecting my Dell with IE7 installed to the server at my job (Windows Server 2003) but everything went well, no delay at all.
I updated the LS PRO firmware from v1.11 to 1.15 about the same time the problem first appeared. I tried a different router, static and dynamic IP-addresses, restoring factory defaults on the LS PRO, reinstalling my PC, searching internet for other people with the same problem, but nothing has helped.
Buffalo support says the delay is normal. I cannot see how.
My network consists of a notebook Dell Inspiron 6400, a homebuilt desktop computer P4 3GHz, Dlink DGE-530T NIC. Both with Win XP Home. A router Dlink Dir100, a switch Linksys GS 105 and two Buffalo Linkstation Pro NAS devices with latest firmware 1.15. Everything is wired.
