New computer can't access local shares

I'm at a loss here and have never had this problem before. I just set up a new computer with Windows 11 Home 25H2. This may be the wrong place to ask but I'm totally Googled out. I have a drive connected to an RT-AX68U router that every other machine on the network can see and connect to except this new machine. It sees it and shows under Network devices but can't connect either using the name or IP address. The message I get get is:
Error code: 0x80070035
The network path was not found.

Yes, Network Discovery and sharing are activated and I also turned on SMB 1.0 under optional features but that doesn't help and on checking the other machines they don't have it turned on either but don't have the problem. Even Windows 10, Android and Linux have no problem connecting to the drive. Just as an aside, I have a Raspberry Pi that has a share on the LAN that any other computer can connect to except this one.
I have also checked the Windows Defender firewall settings and compared them to other systems and don't see any difference.
I'm sure it's a security issue but I just can't see where.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks in advance:)

Windows is using Private mode network connection?

Oh, hold on, W11 25H2 - I think MS has blocked SMB 1 (unknown if this is intentional), but users have complained.

Yes, Private mode.
Actually in my Google travels that did come up as KB glitch, but it's probably baked into the the latest release so uninstalling the KB wouldn't be an option...or would it? I really didn't look at the specifics.
