I have just connected my new RT-AC86U and have a couple of questions. My N66U was beginning to get a little flakey in the wi-fi dept so it was time for a new one.

The router came with the Asus 382 firmware. I set up my ISP connection and then flashed the router with Merlin's 382. I then carried on with the setup. I did not do a reset as only minimalist setting up was done before flashing.

I have attached a USB stick to the router that was in my previous N66U, which was running John's 374.43 LTS firmware. There is nothing that I can seem to do to get the router to re-build the database. It was quite easy to do this with my previous Asus router. Any advice on how to do this here?

Cheers

Minidlna server perhaps?
Hi Gingernut,

Yes, that is what I meant. I am an ex-N66U user using Merlin's firmware, John's fork, and realise how it should work.

Cheers
