OpenVPN connects - but I can't see local network devices
I've just setup OpenVPN using OEM ASUSWRT latest release (.4561). As far as I can tell, I've never successfully established a VPN connection. I'm using Tunnelblick as the OpenVPN client on Mac OS X. Tunnelblick reports that it has successfully established a connection, but with a warning that my apparent public IP address (APIPA) has not been changed.
Edit: I found that I need to route all traffic through the VPN tunnel for the APIPA to change, which I've done. However, I still can't see the other devices on my (remote - through VPN) LAN. On Mac OS X I'm trying to connect to a server on my LAN but cannot. When directly connected to my LAN (wireless or wired) I am able to connect to this same server (using Finder).
Edit2: I am able to connect to a server (NAS) on my LAN using the (local) IP address rather than name. I presume this isn't DNS; is there some WINS and/or Active Directory "push" that I need to setup? I've tried enabling "Respond to DNS" but that hasn't helped.
