As far as I know, android requires root permission to use tap mode.

But here, who used this paid application ?

I use it. I have spare Android device I am not using without root, but no test server to try out tap. I use tun and scramble patch. Its flawless in my use case. If I am not mistaken on Google Play you can try it and then if it doesn't work ask for a refund in a certain time limit I thought.
