OpenVPN only working for Win 7? Win 8.1 not pinging

There are zero problems connecting and pinging the network with Win 7 x86/x64, but Win 8.1 clients can connect, but nothing is pingable/reachable.

Firmware version: 3.0.0.4.374_4561

Also bonus question: Are there any problems with updating the firmware and breaking the OpenVPN setup? I'd like to avoid re-installing all the .ovpn files.

Don't forget to run the client with Administrator privileges.
