I am spec-ing out a wireless AP 802.11N for large data transfers (200MB-2GB) and wondering what AP is a good choice? (under $400) or what AP and Outdoor antenna is a good choice? This is for business use and would be ok to use DDWRT or similar.

Maybe not 802.11N as i am seeing that the mixed mode B/G/N could be detrimental. So maybe i will go with 802.11B/G to keep the throughput up as this is focusing on data transfer.

Is this a point to point backhaul link or for multiple client support?

That is pretty steep $$, I was looking for nearly half the price of the Cisco Aironet 1250 Series.

i think that 802.11G is going to be ok, But am thinking that i will need to wire an outdoor antenna to the unit to get the range i need outside the building

looking like i am going to select a d-link and find an outdoor sector antenna

thanks for your help

not done yet though, if anyone wants to chime in ;)

I think i am going to use the D-Link DWL-2100AP

Can someone help me find an outdoor sector antenna that has a wide horizontal path that will work with this AP?

Thanks again
