That thread seems to hinge on CGNAT being the root cause of the issue with port forwarding. I don't believe that situation applies to my situation because my external IP address as seen in the router is the same and what websites detect it as. So unless Comcast/Xfinity is pulling something new in regards to CGNAT I think I'm in the clear there.
