It's not recommended to power the Pi via USB from a computer USB port - it can be done, but it depends on what the port may provide - and the Pi/Pi2/Pi3/PiZero, FWIW, don't fully handshake on the MicroUSB, so the port will likely provide just minimal power (sometimes 100ma, sometimes 500ma, sometimes whatever) - the Pi Foundation folks have answered similar questions over on their forums, and the consensus there is don't...
(this is also why some external chargers, and especially external battery packs are unstable with the Pi's)
