Powerline query - more nodes?

New Around Here
I am looking at setting up an office in an apartment that is not wired for ethernet. There'll be three offices in separate rooms, all needing to interconnect.

If I get, say, a Netgear XAVB1004, how do I add another node? Is it simply a matter of getting another XAV2001 and plugging it in? Or are these devices "paired" or "point to point"?

Yes. You add nodes by just plugging in another adapter. You can add a level of security by enabling a password or sometimes pressing a button on the adapters. But that's only necessary if there are other powerline networks in use, perhaps next door.
