ProtonVPN Wireguard connecting but no change to external IP

You didn't have this problem a few days ago. What did you change?

This particular topic on the link above concerns OVPN only.
As ISP cuts access to servers non-stop I decided to use WG tunnel as well.
It gets a connection but IP remains ISP-given-by-default.
Then I saw this thread.
More than suitable for my case.

No, in that thread you were talking about WG. In your final post your screenshot shows WG1 connected with a public IP address.

It sounds like this is your problem. It's nothing to do with your router's configuration. It's your ISP blocking your VPN.

Exactly!
This is why I seek for corner-cuts for the ISP!
Most strange thing for me is that WG is giving me all except 'Public IP'.

We can't change the geopolitics of your country. All you can do is keep trying different VPN servers until you get one that works.

Maybe this could help you?

Occasionally that is not completely as it seems.
And those servers! They come and go according to weather at Mars...
Maybe this could help you?
Looking at it.
Takes a lot of time to get it.
Is there a Wiki or something on the 'amtm' topic?
Upon thorough study found that: meaning all must be set and go BEFORE involving 'VPNMON'.

See the main AMTM topic in the Addons subforum:

More Asus-Merlin addon scripts are listed in the catalogue sticky in the Addons subforum:

You could create a DHCP reservation on the main router for the node's MAC address. But that's really here nor there.

Correct. Although strictly speaking the correct way of addressing an entire network is 192.168.1.0/24 as previously stated, not 192.168.1.2/24. But in practice they are the same.

Maybe. What is your reason for having the node go through the WAN? The node itself generates almost no internet traffic.
Thanks again for all the help - VPN is now working for me.

... what I can't find is how to delete vpn director configurations? (I tested a couple and would like to remove the ones I won't use)

For the VPN Director rules there is a minus symbol to the right of each rule.

To remove a VPN client configuration you need to go to the relevant VPN - WireGuard Client (if using WireGuard) page and click on the "Default" button near the bottom.

Ain't that "Default" button under 'VPN Client' settings the ones you look for?
