QNAP TS-509 Print Server

Is it possible to run a real "Print Server" off of the TS-509? If so, is there a qpkg for it?

Something like a Server OS that hosts the drivers etc. Like running Windows Server 2003 and hosting a print server.

No print server like that, that I know of. You might have better luck over in the QNAP forums.

Note also that you have root access, so you could install linux packages if you know your way around.

Ill check out the forums but linux and I "windows" don't mix well. I can get around and do things but Ill probably end up spending way to many hours to figure out it's not possible.

It's works like a networked printer, local drivers printing to a remote IP port. In this scenario, all drivers are installed locally.
