Radius Server, What is it????

Here is a picture of my network.

Recently my linksys router died so i swapped it with a TP Link MR3420. Now the problem is that my windows media center extender does not connect to my server pc when i use wpa-psk.

However, it connects just fine when the network is non-encrypted.


I read some where that i should try wpa/wpa2. However when i try to do this, in my router it asks for "Radius Server". I don't know what it means. Can anybody help.

You should also have a WPA/WPA2 selection that does not require a RADIUS server. RADIUS is an authentication protocol used in large networks. This is sometimes listed as WPA "Personal"

If you are connecting an 802.11n client, you must use WPA2/AES or your client link rates will be limited to 54 Mbps.
