Recommended Wi-Fi settings for IoT devices that randomly disconnect / reconnect? Doorbells, bulbs, TVs, thermostats, etc.

I have zero issues with my 2.4 smart devices..... Weird.
I have 15+ smart switches, 5 Alexa's, Logitech smart hub, garage doors, doorbell cameras etc.......

I've been banging my head against a wall for the last week with this - LIFX bulbs keep disconnecting on my new RT-AX82U, they were all fine on my old R7000.

Turning off Adaptive QoS seems to have finally got it stable and working over the last 48h. I'm going to experiment with turning it back on and giving the bulbs a higher priority and report back.

I only have one Lifx product and it's been fine. I'm also using Adaptive QoS.

I'm using a Asus AX 58U amd 2 AC88s on a mesh configration...Kept my AX58 at 5Ghz and limited my 2 AC88s to 2.4Ghz.
My Google home devices [about 10 of them on 2.4Ghz.}. Seems to work well since the segregation.

Segregation has worked for me too. Turning off QoS on my AX-82U improved the situation, but I was still having a few of my 9 LIFX bulbs disconnect intermittently, as well as a few other IoT devices like my washing machine.

I've now pulled an old RT-N66U out of retirement - running LTS firmware - and used that as a 2.4Ghz access point for my IoT devices only. Zero disconnects in the last four days.

Bit frustrating not being able to run a single router for my small home, but I got the AX-82U on flash sale for £130, and the 5Ghz speed/stability increase has been huge over my now dead R7000
