Replacement antennas have been discussed at length elsewhere on this forum (use search). The general consensus is that they don't make any difference, although YMMV.

I have these antennas.
When using on my old R66U I got an increase in range into my garden: the last 10 meters were still covered, not with the stock antenna's.
When used on my new AC68U I noticed a degradation !!!

So it looks like Russian roulette ;-)

On the ASUS AC87U, which antennas is for 2.4ghz band?
I intend to use extension antennas (those who are wired) so I get a better wifi...
