Restarts in media bridge mode

I'm currently using two Asus RT-A66U, the second one (in media bridge mode) restarts itself randomly, anywhere from once a day to several times an hour.

I tried several fixes: different firmwares (including the Merlin ones), clear nvram, settings with no results.

I haven't had the reboots but I am going to have to abandon using a second RT-AC66U in media bridge mode because if you have more than about 10 devices connected, then some will not be able to get a DHCP response. This feature in the router has been largely untouched and underdeveloped since the beginning and its one of the weakest points.
 
If you configure the second one as a standard router, does it still reboot?

I have not tried to set the media bridge as router yet BUT 0 restarts in the last 72 hours !! :) The only thing I've done is put a different name to each wifi, I have the same ssid name for the 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz of the router and the 2,4Ghz of the media bridge.

This feature in the router has been largely untouched and underdeveloped since the beginning and its one of the weakest points.

Damn, had I know this I would have saved some money. I have 1 PS3, 1 satelite tuner, 1 receiver, 1 Samsung smart-tv, 1 repeater (1 ps3, 1 satelite tuner and 1 receiver) , 2 iphones and 3 iPad's connected to it, and almost every day, the dhcp "relaying" stops working.

Hoped it was resolved, but it seems I have to change my network configuration to get this to work.

Yeah its infuriating isn't it! I have tried to log this with Asus, but I think it seems to be lost on them! I don't know if this is something Merlin can fix.
