RMA Processing Time for ASUS?

New Around Here
Hi folks, does any one have some data point on the processing time for RMA? I unfortunately hit the 2.4 GHz wifi problem this week, after owning an RT-AC86U for 8 months (2.4G wifi visible but always get authentication error). I filled out a RMA request online at asus.com but there is no response of an RMA number yet for 3 days. I just want to know how fast or slow they will handle RMAs during the COVID-19 time so I will have the right expectation. Thanks.

I don't know about the RMA time, but it's disappointing that Asus still has this problem. I had to RMA my first RT-AC88U because the 2.4 GHz radio died after 40 days. That was almost 4 years ago.

I called US Tech Support and resolved it over the phone and then shipped my RMA off all in about an hour. Blind transfers are too open-ended, imo.

You mean including the time you packed up the router and dropped off to courier? That's pretty fast.

Yep... boxed, taped, labeled, and drove 5 minutes to the post office. Took Asus 9 days to get a replacement back to me.
