I am new posting here, but long time ago reading
I am ASUS ROUTER lifetime user.
Now I have RT-AX82U as gateway in garaje, not the best location for WI-FI coverage, but WAN is here.
I have a RT-AX55 in AP mode. In a good location, It´s performance is good for a budget model
Now I see ROG AX6000 and RT-AX57 bargain price.
I was thinking in
a) ROG AX6000 as gateway (main router) and RT-AX82U in AP mode OR
b) adding other RT-AX57 as AP for improving general coverage (cheaper option)
I have variuous quiestions:
1) AS GATEWAY (LAN traffic, security etc), ¿is much better ROG AX 6000 than AX82U? I do NOT use VPN
2) If GATEWAY position is not the best ¿What about ROG AX6000 WIFI coverage? I have read 4x4 has very strong coverage
3) I understand ROG AX6000 in AP mode is wasting money?
More easy ¿Is a great improve changing AX-RT82U for ROG AX6000?
I have RT-AX82U connected to a 600 Mb ONT in WAN and 4 LAN 1000 BaseT switchs. About 40 devices in house. 20 LAN and 20 Wireless (only a few in 5 Ghz). Wireless devices should connect to RT-AX55
