Router for outdoors

I hang a router on the outside of the house, just under the overhang, trying for best reception to a cottage 50 yards away (Person in cottage uses a Macbook and iPhone4 for internet connection), but the current router needs rebooting almost every day, so looking for a replacement, someone recommended the Asus RT-N53, but on Newegg it has 28% negative feedback, so looking for other recommendations, in the $60 range.
Guess I should say the "outdoor" router is connected with 40 feet of ethernet cable to a Motorola Netopia 3347 (ATT 6.0 DSL).

Better solution is a combination bridge/ap/antenna. Check EnGenius

Bought a used Belkin N+ router off eBay for $20, should arrive with in a week.

Ended up getting an Asus RT-N53 router, but i think I might have bricked it during the firmware update.
