router, switch and powerline

New Around Here
Hi,

I have a Netgear DG834GT router and a FS605 ethernet switch. I have plugged in a XET1001 powerline adapter into the ethernet switch. It doesn't seem to work. Is it not possible to connect a powerline adapter to a switch?

TIA

marty

Sure, it's possible. What other powerline adapter are you using on the other end?

It is working now. The device on the other end (slingbox) wasn't working, that's why. Sorry for wasting your time :P

Thanks for letting me know. BTW, you're lucky that you chose a compatible adapter. Not all powerline adapters work together.
