Router-to-router VPN to Asuswrt-Merlin OpenVPN server?

I currently have an ASUS RT-N16 running DD-WRT in my condo in Mexico, connecting to StrongVPN to give me a U.S. IP address. Could I instead run Asuswrt-Merlin on an RT-N66 at my home in the U.S. and connect to its OpenVPN server? If so, how difficult would it be? (I was able to set up my current configuration because StrongVPN supplied a script to run on the RT-N16.)
