New Around Here
I need a router that can work with those DNS providers demanding a fixed IP address, address that I don't have and is expensive.
So I use a Dynamic IP server in my case NOIP.
The problem is my Android phone works better because it has DNS over TLS while my TP-Link Router does not.
What would you recommend? Buying a new router? In that case are those much expensive than the C9 I have now?

Thank you!

DNS-over-TLS describes the encryption method. It doesn't work "better". With many public DNS services it's actually slower and enabling it limits the number of available servers. Slower because it needs processing - the server dealing with millions encrypted queries. Quad9 has this issue in my area as an example. Big players Google, OpenDNS, Cloudflare do better. Popular Asus router models have DNS-over-TLS available in GUI settings.

Buying a new router?

Not necessarily. DNS-over-TLS doesn't increase the performance. It only encrypts the queries to prevent eventual MITM queries hijacking.

It pays in the long run to get a good router. Asus routers have DoT capability. So etching like an AX86S or AX86U are good. The Pro versions are better.

Modern Android phones have built-in DoH support, so if the goal is to encrypt your DNS queries, you don't need a new router to do that.

DoT and DoH won't make DNS queries work "better" however. They add latency, making it slower than a regular DNS resolver. All it does is encrypt those queries to prevent eavesdropping.

with better I meant my DNS providers (not free) knows it's me asking, and then replies. I don't know how it knows it's me but it does.
