When this starts happening (no idea what's causing this as the logs don't indicate anything before it starts) the entire GUI slows down to a crawl, and the wifi becomes problematic. You can't connect to the wifi (it will say the correct password is incorrect) and router itself can slow down to the point where internet connection is lost over wired connections.

Can someone explain what these errors are and how they are being caused? Some other threads hypothesized that their routers were hacked. Is this being generated by a feature on the AC5300 that can be safely disabled somehow? The only fix for this is a full reboot of the router. It is using the latest firmware on the asus website though this error isnt unique to this particular router model.

I already RMA'd one AC5300 which had similar issues. The configuration is default without minimum install. I have not tried Merlin's alpha AImesh enabled firmware and this issue makes me wonder if its AImesh related and whether setting it back up as an master + AP router would eliminate this issue with less hassle.

Perhaps failing hardware, or a bad firmware install.

My shot in the dark would be to re-install the firmware, reset to factory defaults, configure minimally from scratch, and see how it performs... in that order.

Data Aborts - at a low level, something is try to read or write to an illegal memory location.

as @OzarkEdge mentions - try a rescue reflash with factory firmware, and reconfigure.
