RT-AC5300 mesh/ed with R7000

Hi guys,

I have RT-AC5300 mesh/ed with R7000 (running Merlin too) but most of devices keep connecting to R7000 even its further away. I would really like to keep at least couple of them connected to AC at all time because they are always near it. Is it possible to force specific device to a specific router?

Opssss,.. wasn't aware of that - Ill re-flash it back to original Netgear firmware and take it to my other place. I will then try to set my 2nd AC5300 as mesh node. I think i would still end up having same issue in mesh :/
