Hello all,
I changed my router configuration yesterday to dual WAN - failover; so far, everything is working as expected.
What I find problematic is to know which WAN is in use; if both links are up, both of them appear as "connected" on the web interface. The only way I find to see it via web is by checking the system log.
So, I did a telnet connection, and checked with ifconfig, but what I see are both vlans up. Is there any command or file I can check via telnet to identify which WAN is in use by the router at any time?
My first guess is with the route command (one vlan as metric 0, while the other one has metric 1), but I do not know if this is an absolute rule to validate it.
Thanks!
