RT-AC66U Merlin 380.57 DNS Filtering Slow Network

DNS filtering enabled and pointing to OpenDNS Family (I tested other witht he same results) slows the initial sites lookup by a great deal to the point I had to disable it and place the DNS servers' IPs within the DHCP options. This is especially true on mobile devices using wireless. I have not tested with wired devices. Is anyone else having the same issues or is it just me?

I am having the same slow page load on a AC88U and AC3200.

Not tried setting the DNS servers within the WAN settings yet.
