Hi,

I have Seagate powered USB3 HDD connected to USB 3 port of my RT-AC68U..

When I copy files from my desktop to this HDD, it is very slow at around 16 mbps..

is this normal speed?

or else what needs to be done to increase this speed?

Please let me know..

Depending on the type and size of the files you're copying, yes.

If you need wired speed a NAS is highly recommended (QNAP or Synology).

Megabits or megabytes?

Megabits; yeah, that is alarmingly slow. Seems like you have a problem.

Megabytes; I get ~40MB/sec from my old 500GB USB 2.0 HDD, but 16MB/sec is understandable, especially over WiFi, but still a bit slow for USB 3.0 and 802.11AC WiFi.
