RT-AC68U Problem. Slow WiFi

I have no other networks around me, so even on 2,4 GHz, 20 MHz I get this:

.
40Mbps from 2.4 band @20MHz would be typical speed you'll get if your client is 1X1 wireless. Link rate is @72Mbps.

I wanted to point out that upload works as expected - the pattern repeats in both bands; link speed shown in Mac OS X says 217 Mbps on 2,4 GHz all the time.

I installed the new (9.0.0.4.380_26xx) firmware yesterday on the three RT-AC68P routers I use and the wireless is blazing fast and stable. I was having decent performance before with the previous firmware and the throughput seemed fine but it wasn't nearly as good overall as with this latest beta firmware. Before upgrading the firmware I would sometimes get random disconnects (on 5Ghz) and slow to connect issues. I also had questionable range on 5Ghz. It seems vastly improved and rock solid now.
