Using the desktop application I get no leaks and its perfect. But today while messing around with Pihole and checking if it would work with a VPN/Merlin I have witnessed that when I use my VPN through the Merlin software on the router - without Pihole - the Mullvad DNS isn't even there, it's just my ISP.
My ip is from Mullvad but all 6 servers that are found in the extended DNS leak test is from my ISP. Surely this is something that can be fixed. What do I need to look in changing on my router? I am not well versed in networking so any help is appreciated.
Here is the config:
resolv-retry infinite
remote-cert-tls server
ping 10
ping-restart 60
sndbuf 524288
rcvbuf 524288
cipher AES-256-GCM
tls-cipher TLS-DHE-RSA-WITH-AES-256-GCM-SHA384
pull-filter ignore route-ipv6
pull-filter ignore ifconfig-ipv6
fast-io
remote-random
