RT-AC87U disconnecting on 2.4 and 5GHZ band

My RT-AC87U keeps disconnecting my mac from the 2.4 and 5 Ghz band.it keeps disconnecting and then connecting again. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

you might want to provide more details on your wireless settings and how far away are you from the router?

I have full bars but randomly decides to disconnect me and reconnect me. I am on the Asus latest firmware. Anything else?

A few people including myself have this problem with the 5 GHz band. If I didn't have such good range with the 2.4 band I would have dumpstered this 300 dollar POS router....I think our only hope lies in a future firmware release. As for your problems with the 2.4 range I have heard of issues with Intel nic card drivers..
