I have an RT-AC87U, which I'm quite happy with, even though I know it's an older device. I've attempted to configure it to use VLANs, following https://www.snbforums.com/threads/f...guest-network-for-asus-merlin-rt-ac68u.18969/

However, whenever I try to run a robocfg vlan command after about 20-30s router restarts. At first I suspected I might be making some kind of mistake, but I also tried command that shouldn't change anything, and it also triggered a reboot:

login@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# robocfg show

[reboot occurs]

I'm running the latest 3.0.0.4.382.52545 firmware, I've also tried Merlin 384.13_10 but it had the same issue. Any idea what might be causing this? My config is nothing unusual, router mode, 2,4/5 GHz access points, guest network disabled, AiProtection/AiCloud/firewall/QoS disabled.

Have you ever fully reset your router? And then minimally and manually configure it afterward without using a saved backup config file?

Yes, I've done hard factory reset, reconfigured the router, and the problem still occurs.
