Hi,

I've had some recent behaviour with this router where it seems to 'crash' and self reboot. Visting the System Log - General Log page it will say that the uptime is a few minutes after I've lost WIFI and eventually reconnected. I've been unable to reproduce the crash/issue but today installing a new WIFI device (soundbar) it again cause the router to crash/reboot.

Below is a cut of the log from two different crashes. From just before the crash and then the restart (Seems to start May 5 15:05 before it hits the NTP and corrects the date/time).

I'm at a loss as to what might be causing it and not event sure if I've got the appropriate "Message Log Level" and "Log only messages more urgent than" set correctly to try and catch this.

Any thoughts? should I be setting my log level differently?

many thanks

power supply all nice and tight.

I've had another crash/reboot again.. What I've noticed, however, is the last wireless device to connect is always my wife's MacBook (Mid 2010)

That's four crashes where the last line before the may 5 entries is
dnsmasq-dhcp[2324]: DHCPACK(br0) 192.168.1.45 78:ca:39:b9:f2:67 AMMac

It could be a coincidence however.

Thoughts?

Buy wife a new Mac? :)

Maybe you should then. Just to get the 12-year-old Mac off the network. :)

Doesn't seem to be working to me?

Good enough to convince your wife you need a new router. ;)

Does it reboot with latest available stock Asuswrt firmware? It's newer than Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3_2.
