RT-AC88U Set as AP, How do I get into it to check settings?

Hi,
I have the above router out at my Shop set as a AP, it gets it's signal from a Nano station. Only think hard wired to it is the Nano station and my DVR, everything else is wireless. At some point I plan to up grade main router in house and probably replace 88 U with current house router. I would like to go into 88 U to take screen shots ( I really know basic stuff ). If I connect laptop directly to router and login into admin page it takes me to the main router.

Use IP address RT-AC88U (AP) to login.

How would I find that? I found one next to router in main page but it just brings me back to Main router page, Do i need to be plugged into AP?

Click View list bellow Clients.

Yes I did tat and found IP Address but when i type it in still brings me to main router page.
Is it redirecting the URL from IP to a name like asusrouter.com?

I used that tool, But when I enter IP or use the tool to open it I still go back to the main router page, I am trying to get intot eh Router that is used as an ap.

From this thread:

From another thread:

I currently have a ASUS RT-AC5300 and a RT-AC88U as a node

Your router in the shop is most likely set as AiMesh node. If this is the case - you can't access the UI. If you want it in AP Mode you have to remove it from AiMesh and set it up manually in AP Mode.

In the router interface AP/Aimesh node is the same dot to check/Select. I always though it was as an AP but maybe it is as a Node even though it is hardwired to the Nano station which sends info from house router to Shop router.
Is there an issue with it set up this way? Is one better than the other?

AiMesh - automatic configuration, all devices have the same settings and Wi-Fi channels.
AP - each AP is configured separately, but there is no isolation for guest network.

I don't have a need a for a Guest Network, What is the better way to go for me? I am just trying to have Wifi in my shop which is 100 Ft or so away, Radio,Lap Top TV? I currently have that its not the fastest but it is okay, I think the speed is more because I am using 2.4 Nano Stations.

You most likely have it currently as AiMesh node. Look at your router's AiMesh page. If it is working well for your needs - no change is needed. The Ubiquiti bridge is transparent for AiMesh, you may or may not see the Nano devices in Client List. This is not an issue.

Would Speed be faster as an AP, If I use it as an AP would I still get wireless or would I need another router?

Would Speed be faster as an AP

Just leave it as it is, please. You have trouble identifying operation mode and finding the IP address. This is very easy to do in multiple ways. If you reset this router we may not be able to help you fixing it.

I didn't have trouble finding the IP it is just that the one listed for the router kept bringing me to the others routers main page, Now that I can see it is set up as a Mesh I understand it. I can leave it I just wanted to get a better understanding of the modes. ASUS seems to kinda combine the two.

Because the two are similar. Wired AiMesh node is in fact Access Point. The difference is in some options and where you manage this device. In your specific use case either one is doing what you need it to do.
