Solved RT-AX3000 unable to revert to stock

Flashed with rmerlin RT-AX58U firmware now the official firmware for RT-AX3000 from Asus website won't work. While uploading it says unsuccessful. Have sold the router and would like to revert it back to Asus stock firmware for RT-AX3000. Haven't tried the AX58 firmware from Asus website but if that works, won't it change the model in web interface to AX58U. I would like to avoid that.

You need to use the routers recovery mode likely. Only use the official firmware for that model of router.
