RT-AX58U Shadowsocks client issue

Hi!

I have RT-AX58U with 388.8_2 firmware with Entware already installed.

I am trying to install the Shadowsock client following this guide. However, I encounter an error during the installation process:

Code: 
Cloning shadowsocks-asuswrt-merlin...
Cloning into '/opt/share/ss-merlin'...
fatal: Cannot handle files this big
 Error: git clone of shadowsocks-asuswrt-merlin repo failed


Recently, I tried the same steps with an AX56U router, and everything went smoothly. What could be the issue?
