RT-AX86U Pro (merlin firmware: 388.1_0) as default aimesh & RT-AC68U as aimesh node

Hey, I have the same problem. Reset a few times with the LAN cable doesn't work.

The solution that works for me is to use the Internet port (blue one) on AC-68U, not the LAN ports (yellow port).

I can't find anywhere to mention this, hopefully can resolve your issue.

I know that Asus wrote a warning about this in the GUI, because thanks to this I was able to solve the problem.

However, I don't know if it's a good choice?

I would go with an RT-AX86S if I wanted a lower cost option for an AiMesh node.
