RT-AX88U flashing to Merlin

I am new to Merlin world. I have been using dd-wrt. How can I flash a RT-AX88U router firmware to Asuswrt-Merlin.
I was on the download page on sourceforge. Downloaded the latest release 384.19. The zip file has only a .w file.
Is there a "trx" file or is that not needed?

Rtax88u uses w based extension instead of trx based. Download firmware and then just flash it on router, make sure to factory reset after install.

trx files are only used by the older model routers, like the RT-AC68U.
