New Around Here
I am setting up my new RT-AX88U. I flushed it with Merlin and happy overall but one thing annoys me tremendously.
Every time I make a change to any wireless setting (not just SSID or security) it takes between 3 and 7 min for the router wireless to come back alive (2G comes back somewhat quicker). Is it supposed to take that long? The LEDs for 5G and 2G stay lit most of the time though.
The log looks unremarkable:
I thought the "Roaming Assistant" was causing it so I disabled it for both 2G & 5G but it didn't make a difference, although the log still shows "roamast: ROAMING Start".
A reboot takes even longer.
I see a huge "time disparity", maybe NTP takes that long to initialize?
Is this timing normal?
