I use a 10Gtek SFP+ DAC Twinax Cable to connect from the AX89X to a Netgear MS510TX switch.

I have a RT-AX89X ordered, and I am preparing all of the accessories needed to hit the ground running when it arrives. I am aware that the 10G RJ45 port can be configured as WAN or LAN. Can the SFP+ port be configured as a LAN port?

Yes it can. I'm using a DAC cable to a 10G switch. Be warned if using any SFP+ adapter, it will likely get quite warm. I tried several of them a while back and none of them ran within my comfort range.

Thanks guys. With your input I believe I am prepared for any eventuality that may occur. I have DAC, Fiber Cables, SFP+ and SFP+ RJ45 modules on hand, which were designed for various enterprise applications.
