The latest RT-BE58U firmware was 3.0.0.6.102_39342, but it is only for HW Version 2.0, amd was released ls November. The prior update came out for the A1 HW version 3 days after the update for V 2.0, however, as of Jan 17, 2026, there is no equivalent A1 update. Does anybody have an idea why this might be? Or, for that matter, know the differences between the HW Versions?

AFAIK, they swapped the SoC from BCM6764L (HW V1) to BCM6764 (HW V2). I'm not sure what else changes ASUS made.

They seem to be staggering the updates. I would have to guess the hardware/CPUs are close enough that A1 and V2 do not ever get the same _xxxxx.

EDIT: See XT8s get the exact same for each version:

ASUS have just released the V1 firmware 3.0.0.6.102_39249 for RT-BE58U / RT-BE3600 today. I think they'll eventually release the same for TUF-BE3600 V1 as well.

This version of firmware is only applicable to RT-BE58U of HW Ver: A1, please check the product label before utilizing. You can check the hardware version from the product SN label or box label.

Interesting that the firmware update mechanism in my BE58U says there is no update.
same here, I have manually updated the node.
