RT-BE96u UK availability? Other options?

Slightly confused about Asus model availability at the moment. I want the BE96u as merlin supports it and it's basically a BE98 without the additional second 6ghz band I don't need. In the UK it seems the BE96u does not exist. We do however have the GT-BE19000 which is apparently (from a question someone asked here in December) not the same router, and looking at the supported models, Merlin does not support this one. So I am a bit confused as to what to get, and why Asus would apparently not be selling one of their main models in the UK at all.

I tried to order a BE96u from Amazon UK, from a seller which seemed to be Amazon US (at least thats what it said the company was called) but that was a week ago when it said 11 in stock, a few days later it still said 4 in stock, and it's now saying no stock and still has not shipped. So does not look like I will be getting that after all as it stands (I am assuming if I did get it from the US it would work fine in the UK, I might just need a power plug adaptor).

The BE98 pro seems to be the only other option, which is far more expensive and has stuff I don't need! So guess I need to find a BE96u import from somewhere for a reasonable price.

Don't import wireless routers from a different region (e.g. US to UK). The channels available and power levels are different which could cause compatibility issues with certain devices (as well as being illegal).

I thought I would be able to select the country in the firmware so it would use the regulated frequencies?

I should just cancel it and figure out an alternative then. I could get the BE98 (non-pro) and I believe gnuton now supports that one (although it looks like it may be a bit behind merlin versions). The only other option is the BE92U instead. Much cheaper but not sure how much I lose with it (I am 100% wifi, no ethernet).
