RT-BE96U vs GT-BE19000

Hi,

In Sweden, they are starting selling the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 and when I'm checking this router, it looks like it's a 1:1 copy of the RT-BE96U, just with another naming for Europe (Sweden).
Is this the same router with just a different name, and a different colour? Looks like the GT-BE190000 has some red colour instead of the gray one from the RT-BE96U. Otherwise, if you are reading the technical specs from Asus, they look completely identical.

This remembers me about the RT-AC86U which was also available as RT-AC1900, but was technically the same product.

My question is also, as I see that Merlin's firmware is supporting the RT-BE96U, will it then also work on the GT-BE19000?

Any thoughts and ideas regarding this, please write them down. Thanks!

it is not the same. BE190000 has 2.5GB LAN ports and has 1 additional 10GB port compare to BE96U

It's its own router, with its own firmware.

In your expert opinion, and consideration of your future continued lineup, what would you say is the top of the line?
I don't know. To be honest, I lost track of which model are out there, there are just too many of them. I wasn't even aware that the GT-BE19000 had been released, for instance.

No, to clarify, out of all the models you support, which do you believe is the top of your supported line to purchase if one is worried about continued support?

Top of the line currently is GT-BE98 Pro, no?

For support duration it's impossible for me to predict. A model could become EOL earlier than expected due to component shortages, for example. Or later due to its sheer popularity (like the RT-AC68U).
