New Around Here
I have a 4 month old RT-N66R that has recently been giving me some issues. I woke the other day to find the router had been reset to factory defaults. I figured it might have been the firmware so I updated to the newest firmware off the ASUS website. It was fine for another day or two when I found it had reset itself again. Repeated the steps and made sure I had done everything right including changing the settings back from scratch and still the router hard resets itself randomly. Not a reboot but a hard reset BTW. I called support and after going through their checklist they suggested the router was most likely the culprit. Any other suggestions before I RMA this router? It was working perfect since late December?

Does the router revert to the configuratin Wizard with its self controlled action?
I suggest to only change what the Wizard ask you for (router password, minimal wireless settings, nothing more) and try out how that works.
By that you make sure it is not some odd configuration setting that makes it to get confused.
Otherwise I would request RMA.

Yes the router goes straight to the wizard when I punch in 192.168.1.1 to access it. I also left the settings to the default and still had the problem. I guess will proceed with the RMA. Thank you for your time and appreciate the feedback.
