RT-N66U Download Manager 100% CPU

WGurra

New Around Here
Hi guys, I am new to the forum, this is my first post - here we go:

I have just bought and installed an RT-66U, 3.0.0.4.376.47_0 (Merlin).

Everything works fine - except the Download Manager: when it starts to receive data the cpu goes 100% busy for several 10s of seconds, then dips somewhat and then back to 100% for long periods. The other thing I noticed is that although I have over 1MBps coming in the data grows only slowly.

To verify the seeding is fine I used uTorrent on a PC and it was muuuuch quicker than Download Manager. I was connected wirelessly to the same router and most of the time receiving around 1MBps with very low cpu load in the router. And it seemed like uTorrent found more seeders.

I am using an USB stick as 'disk' in usb port1. I used a real usb disk yesterday and did not notice this behaviour then (this was before I installed Merlin, I have not tried this config after switching to Merlin).

Is this a bug, - or am I not allowed to use the USB stick?

Appreciate your thoughts on this.....!

Tested again

Did a new test with a real USB disk. Similar result, but not quite as bad, - the cpu goes to 100% every now and then, but only for a few seconds (very low activity in the router when doing this, just a torrent download). I still suspect this not normal. Both the USB stck and the disk were formatted to fat32 before use.
Anybody out there who can give me a hint what is going on?
