RT N66U LAN issues

Hello All,

I have an issue with my router. Whenever I am trying to download something, torrent mostly, on my desktop, witch is wired to my router, the connection drops.

When it does I also see on the router`s web interface that the connection is down.

I have tried the latest firmware from Merlin and Asus, and both act the same.

Any ideas why?

Hi,

Did you make sure that you use CAT5e or CAT6 cables?
All of them (WAN & LAN) should be checked/replaced.

It`s the second time I change the cable

Test another laptop/desktop that you can connect via Ethernet to help check if it's the NIC (driver, settings, etc) in your desktop.
