RT-N66U lan ports not working?

Hi, a short while ago my router was having some issues (after a power outage probably) and now the LAN ports are not functioning on it. I bought a replacement router but I was hoping to somehow fix this one and keep as a fully working spare or maybe even sell it to a friend. Anyways everytime I turn on the router, the blue light for port 2 is always on (even when there is no ethernet cable plugged into it). I managed to get a screenshot showing the status of the ethernet ports under the Tools > SysInfo screen and have attached the picture. Currently it shows LANs 1, 3 and 4 as down and LAN 2 as 1000 Full Duplex, I've tried plugging the pc into the LAN 1 but the port light doesnt light up on the top of the router and port 2 is still lit up even when no cable is plugged into it.

I found the following commands on another thread on this forums:
nvram set switch_stb_x=0
nvram commit
reboot

Apparently the first line allows for manual vlan and all ports can be used as LAN? That's what the original poster was told by Merlin to try that command.

I logged into the router via telnet and issued those 3 command lines. I have no idea whether it accepted the first line but I know that after entering the reboot command, the router rebooted but the problem still persisted.

Anyone able to help me out with this?
