RTCONFIG_JFFS2USERICON for official builds?

I was wishing I could set custom icons for my devices in the clients list, and started poking through the source only to find that such a feature exists, but it depends on a build-time configuration settting--RTCONFIG_JFFS2USERICON, which appears to be off by default. Is this something that could be enabled in the official Merlin builds? I could build my own firmware but I'd rather not deal with that headache if I could just use the official builds.

It's off because Asus hasn't enabled it yet, presumably because it's not completely developed yet.

Ah, thanks! Maybe I will do a local build to see how broken it is. (Granted, reading any of their code makes everything look broken.)
