Samba Issue - RTN66U

Having a tough time setting up Samba on my RTN66U 3.0.0.4.374.32.... When I enable the share everything works fine on both my Mac OS X and Win XP computers... Both can access the share with no problems.

The issue i'm having is the minute I select share with account to require a user name and password neither is accessible, I can only connect on my win xp machine with the admin username and password which I don't want and on my mac it just doesn't connect period. Is there something i'm missing? I want to share my USB but only with a username and password.

You have to configure the share access. First, add the new user to the router. Then click on the new user, then set appropriate share access for each folders.
